The creative thread.

There is a legend about the spider and her web being the thread of life. I think about that legend when I am writing. There are times when the thoughts seem to flow endlessly and other times it is like the creative thread has been cut. My poetry is taking on more of a cultural aspect and my full length manuscripts is taking on more a dark aspect to life or a romantic side.

The creative thread is great most days, but there are days that I feel like the little spider is in a little race car doing crazy eights with her little web within my mind.  Thoughts for different poems get jumbled with thoughts and ideas of a new full length story... that is when I know that it is time to step away from my work and just jot down outlines.  I can come back to the outline later and try to pull a thread or two to make a good solid poem or story.  Writer's Block is not an issue it is information overload on most days. I just wish I could grasp all the little threads
